Terms of Service

The rules of Chaffery for everyone who uses it. Sellers also accept the Seller Terms.

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Chaffery, 34800, Istanbul, Türkiye (“Chaffery”, “we”). They apply when you open an account or use the site. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Chaffery.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract.

What Chaffery does

You name the price you would pay for a product of an online store. We regularly check the price the store publishes, and when it is at or below your price we tell you. Stores see which prices shoppers named, without learning who they are.

A target is an expression of interest. It is not an order, not an offer, not a payment authorisation and not an obligation to buy — and a store is never obliged to lower its price or to sell at your price.

You buy in the store’s own shop, under the store’s terms. Chaffery is not a party to that purchase: we do not sell products, take payments, ship, or handle returns, warranties or complaints about products.

Chaffery is free for shoppers and earns no commission on what you buy. Stores pay a flat monthly fee for each product they list.

Your account

One account per person, with an e-mail address that is yours. You sign in with one-time codes sent to that address, so keep your mailbox secure; what happens through your account is your responsibility. Tell us at support@chaffery.com if you think someone else is using it.

Fair use

A low target is never a violation — name the price you really would pay. What is not allowed:

• fake or duplicate accounts, and targets set to mislead a store or to inflate demand;
• sellers setting targets on their own products;
• collecting data from the site by automated means, or putting unreasonable load on it;
• trying to get around security measures, or to find out who other users are;
• using Chaffery for anything unlawful.

Prices and product information

Product names, descriptions, photos, prices and stock come automatically from the store’s own platform and remain the store’s content; they are shown in the store’s original language and currency. We check them regularly — about once an hour, and sooner where the platform notifies us of a change — but we cannot guarantee that they are correct or current at every moment.

The price and availability shown in the store when you buy are the ones that count. A price may change again, or a product may sell out, between our alert and your visit. We do not promise that a target will ever be met.

Stores and links

Stores on Chaffery are independent businesses. Their shops, their prices, their notes on Chaffery and the way they handle your order and your data are their own responsibility, under their own terms and privacy policies. A seller’s note (“This is my final price”) is a public statement by the seller; a note alone never triggers an alert.

Reports and moderation

Anyone can report a listing with “Report a problem” or by writing to abuse@chaffery.com. Reports are reviewed by a person. Depending on what we find, we may correct or pause a listing, invalidate targets, or restrict or close an account, and we tell the people affected what we decided and why, unless the law forbids it.

If you disagree with a decision, reply to that message or write to abuse@chaffery.com. We will look at it again and answer you.

Our responsibility

We run Chaffery with care, but we provide it “as is”: we do not guarantee that it is always available, that every alert arrives or arrives in time, or that information supplied by stores is accurate.

We are fully liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever the law does not allow liability to be limited. Otherwise we are liable only for foreseeable damage caused by breaching an essential duty of this agreement, and not for lost savings, lost profit or indirect loss. Rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law are not affected.

Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time under Account → Privacy; this ends the agreement immediately. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may stop offering Chaffery altogether — in that case we tell you in advance by e-mail.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when the service or the law changes. We tell you by e-mail at least 15 days before a change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before that date; if you keep using Chaffery afterwards, the new terms apply.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts there.
